Satoru Nakagawa

Satoru Nakagawa is a Japanese-born singer-songwriter-guitarist, currently living in Boston, Massachusetts. He plays blues influenced original rock music. After graduating from high school in Japan, already in love with American music, he came to America searching for the roots of rock'n'roll. He started his musical journey from Louisiana, immersed himself in various styles of music from traditional country blues to Chicago blues, Second line to modern New Orleans funk, Americana to Zydeco, and which are reflected in his six original albums with his band TOKYO TRAMPS. And he writes songs using his own experiences living in America. Satoru has competed at International Blues Challenge 2014 and 2013 as a solo act, and International Blues Challenge 2011 with the band.
